Concerto Köln / Library of Congress
"Two substantial Bach pieces — the Orchestral Suite No. 1 and the Concerto for Oboe d’amore —
centered the concert. The success of the suite, a virtual font of exuberance, was fueled by
a terrific trio of winds (oboists Susanne Regel and Rodrigo Gutierrez with bassoonist Lorenzo Alpert)
that emerged in the dance movements as a sparkling sub-group.
The concerto again starred Regel, achingly expressive in the larghetto
and instinctively prancing over strings to put the swing in Bach’s allegro."
Tom Huizenga, Washington Post, April 2012

Musica Antiqua Koln / Zankel Hall, Carnegie Hall, NY
"The most striking playing of the evening, in fact, came from the two oboists,
Susanne Regel and Wolfgang Dey, whose colorful interaction
with the ensemble’s strings enlivened
a Telemann Septet in E minor, a lively Heinchen Overture in G
and a Zelenka vocal, Barbara dira effera.”
-  Allan Kozinn, NY Times Nov 2006

“ ...technical bravura and profound musicality..."
Kölner Stadt Anzeiger, 2010

“ ...Susanne Regel plays the oboe d'amore with an entrancing beauty...”
