Seth Cooper

Seth Cooper is originally from New York City where for 25 years he had been active as a composer, flutist, & artistic director as well as a producer of numerous concert series and agent for the Far East for several shows and dance companies, including the Martha Graham Dance Company in Hong Kong.

From 1997-02, he worked for Broadway producer Mel Howard (Black & Blue) on world-wide touring of his Tango Pasìon and Wild Women Blues.

Moving to Montreal in 2001, Mr. Cooper was International Marketing Consultant for I Musici de Montréal and the Studio de Musique Ancienne de Montréal. In 2002, he joined Latitude45 Arts Promotion, Inc. and in 2004 moved to Paris, France where he soon became the North American agent for some of Europe's leading period music artists including Les Talens Lyriques, Ensemble Matheus, Le Poème Harmonique, Concerto Palatino and Concerto Köln.

Since 2004, Mr. Cooper has represented in the USA & Canada 29 different, leading European ensembles and soloists notably including Les Talens Lyriques, Ensemble Matheus, Le Poème Harmonique, Concerto Palatino, Accademia Bizantina, Concerto Köln, Benjamin Bagby and Benjamin Alard. For these superb artists he has secured over 165 engagements, negotiated contracts and managed promotional material and tour logistics in over 50 different North American venues, including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Library of Congress, Cal Performances, Dumbarton Oaks, the University of Chicago, the Boston Early Music Festival, the Vancouver Early Music Festival and many chamber music series and several universities.

Specializing in period instrument ensembles who often perform unknown repertoire and are ensembles who however famous in Europe, may be virtually unknown in North America, Mr. Cooper developed successful promotional strategies establishing focused on enhancing credibility and the exposure required to succeed in North American performing arts markets.
